What Is Heroin?
Heroin is an illegal drug which makes a person addictive to it and it is produced all over the world. Heroin can be used in the form of injection, smoke and sniff. The heroin addiction is highly increased in America because it is processed from the morphine and it occurs naturally from the Asian poppy plant. The color of heroin is usually brown or white. Most of the addict uses the heroin as injection. These heroins also cause or spread the problems such as HIV from the affected person by injecting heroin using single syringe. It is also sold in the name of black tar heroin. Lots of people in New York and Chicago are admitted for the heroin addiction treatment as they were using excess heroin in the form of sniff and snorting.Â
The frequent use of heroin will result in addiction. If the heroin is taken orally it undergoes the problem such as deacetylation. It is an illegal drug in United States and United Kingdom but it is used as legal prescription in the name of dismorphine in United Kingdom. Heroin addiction is an unhelpful and more painful drug in this world. It is rapidly increasing in North America and its feeling stays in the body for 7 to 8 seconds after an injection. It is the most complex addiction to stop because the happiness at the time of using heroin and the pain during the time of withdrawal will resist the addicts’ from leaving this habit. Heroin is largely produced in the countries such as Afghanistan, Myanmar, Mexico, Vietnam, Columbia and Thailand.
Heroin can be affected in two ways - short-term affection and long-term affection. In short-term affection as soon as the heroin is inhaled or injected it reaches the brain and binds the cells present in brain. Usually the addict will feel happiness during the time of injecting heroin and this feeling is called as rush. By using heroin the person will have lower breath and some times they may lead to death. The long-term affection is due to the addiction and it is a chronic disease characterized by the compulsion of the usage of drug. It also produces deep degrees of physical dependence and tolerance. The heroin addicts spend more time and energy for using drugs. While using heroin the rate of heart beat becomes low, the body temperature drops and there will be a decrease in the function of intestine and muscles.
Symptoms for Heroin Addiction
The heroin addict can be easily identified because they continuously use the drug in the form of injection and smokes. The other symptoms are constipation, pupil dilation, dry-mouth, respiratory disease, difficult in swallowing, head ache, dizziness, nausea, itching in the skin, hungry and pain in the body. The heroin addicts are associated with serious health problems such as collapsed veins, spontaneous absorption, hepatitis etc.
